WP285655 Whirlpool Hose Clamp
This Top Load Washer Water Hose Clamp is a small metal part that holds the end of the water hose in place to prevent the hose from leaking water. If your appliance’s current hose clamp is damaged or missing, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing the part will not require hand tools, disassembly of the washing machine or repair experience. You must unplug the washer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installation. Also be sure to shut off the hot and cold water supplies and remove the existing hose from the appliance. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.

Step 1: Unplug the power cord to your Whirlpool appliance before beginning.
Step 2: Take off the outer part of the hose clamp by loosening the screw on the clamp and sliding it away from the appliance.
Step 3:Remove the inner hose clamp piece by using pliers to loosen the clamp and then pulling it away from the hose.
Step 4: Replace the old WP285655 Whirlpool Hose Clamp with a new one by placing the new clamp over the hose and then tightening the screw until it is secure.
Step 5: Place the outer part of the hose clamp back over the hose, aligning it with the inner piece, and then tighten the screw until it is secure.
Step 6: Plug the power cord back in and test the new hose clamp for proper functionality.
