2159075 Whirlpool Door Gasket /Seal
The Refrigerator Door Gasket, White, is a new rubber door seal. If your refrigerator’s door doesn’t close properly or you can feel cold air escaping the appliance, replacing the rubber gasket may alleviate these issues. Note that a refrigerator's original door seal may compress over time, causing the refrigerator to work harder to maintain a constant, cool temperature. Frost may accumulate inside the appliance as a result of this issue. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Replacing the 2159075 Whirlpool Door Gasket
Tools Needed:
- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- Torx T15 screwdriver
Step 1: Disconnect power to the appliance. Unplug the power source from the wall or shut off the circuit breaker.
Step 2: Open the door of the appliance and remove any items stored in the door.
Step 3: Remove the screws from the inside of the door that hold the gasket in place. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the screws from the gasket.
Step 4: On the outside of the door, use a flat head screwdriver to remove the clips holding the gasket in place.
Step 5: Remove the old gasket. It is usually held in place with some adhesive. To remove it carefully use a putty knife or other flat tool.
Step 6: Install the new gasket by fitting it over the metal flange on the door. Make sure it is secured tightly in place using a few clips.
Step 7: For the screws that you removed, use the Torx T15 screwdriver to reinstall them on the metal flange.
Step 8: Reattach any items stored in the door of the appliance.
Step 9: Plug the power source back into the wall or switch the circuit breaker back on. You can now close the door and your appliance will be ready for use.
