WP2180224 Whirlpool Dispenser Funnel Guide
The SxS Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Guide guides the ice cubes made by your appliance through the unit and out the dispenser in the front of the refrigerator. If the locking tabs of your refrigerator’s current dispenser funnel cracked or failed causing it to fall out of the appliance, you can easily replace the funnel with this part. Installation will require basic hand tools, minor disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. Remember to unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

DIY Instructions on How to Replace a Whirlpool WP2180224 Ice Guide
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet. Remove all food items from the freezer and store them in a cool place.
2. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws located on the back side of the freezer door. Take off the door and set it aside.
3. Inside the freezer, locate the ice maker module and remove the two Phillips head screws securing it to the freezer wall. Carefully pull the ice maker out and place it on a flat surface.
4. Locate the old WP2180224 ice guide plate. You may need to remove some of the plastic coverings around it. Remove the four screws securing the guide plate to the ice maker.
5. Carefully remove the defective guide plate from the ice maker and discard it in the trash.
6. Place the new WP2180224 guide plate onto the ice maker. Make sure it is placed in the same orientation as the old one. Secure it in place with the four screws you removed earlier.
7. Reattach the ice maker module to the freezer wall. Secure it with the two Phillips head screws you removed earlier.
8. Reattach the freezer door and secure it in place with the screws you removed earlier.
9. Plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet.
Your new WP2180224 ice guide plate is now installed and your refrigerator should be ready to make ice again.
