1. First, switch off the power to the Whirlpool W11497323 PAN-SNACK. This can be done by turning off the circuit breaker for the appliance's circuit.
2. Unplug the cord from the wall outlet and remove any screws that attach the PAN-SNACK to the cabinetry or countertop.
3. Make note of how the wiring harness is connected to the rear of the unit. Be sure to keep track of the color code of the wires so that you will be able to reconnect them correctly.
4. Take out the old PAN-SNACK and set it aside.
5. Take the new PAN-SNACK and either mount it in place with the screws you removed earlier, or simply slide it into the cabinetry without attaching it.
6. Connect the wiring harness to the rear of the unit. Use the same color code notation you made when disassembling the PAN-SNACK.
7. Securely plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
8. Restore the power to the appliance by turning the circuit breaker back on.
9. Check your work by turning on the PAN-SNACK to make sure it is working properly.
