DIY Instructions for Replacing the WP2198641 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Cover Bracket
1. Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet and let it sit for approximately 10 minutes to allow it to cool down.
2. Open the refrigerator door and locate the ice maker cover bracket in the lower right corner of the interior.
3. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the two screws that secure the existing ice maker cover bracket to the interior of the refrigerator.
4. Carefully lift the ice maker cover bracket from the refrigerator and set it aside.
5. Take the new WP2198641 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Cover Bracket and position it so that the holes line up with the holes in the refrigerator.
6. Using the Phillips head screwdriver, secure the new ice maker cover bracket to the interior of the refrigerator with the two screws.
7. Close the refrigerator door and plug the refrigerator back into the wall outlet.
Your Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Cover Bracket has now been successfully replaced.
