12002497 Whirlpool Refrigerator Drawer Gear Kit
The Refrigerator Freezer Drawer Gear Kit supports the drawer inside your appliance as it slides in and out during use. If the current support rail for the drawer inside your appliance is damaged and no longer functioning properly, you can easily replace it with this part. Note that the design of this part may differ slightly from the existing kit. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.

Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet.
Step 2: Empty the crisper drawers completely and remove them from the refrigerator.
Step 3: Remove the screws on the inside frame of the crisper drawer and carefully detach it from the refrigerator.
Step 4: Turn the drawer over and locate the old gear kit.
Step 5: Use a screwdriver to unscrew the old gear kit.
Step 6: Install the new 12002497 Whirlpool Crisper Drawer Gear Kit, making sure that all components fit into the slots and are secured tightly.
Step 7: Reattach the drawer frame to the refrigerator and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
Step 8: Place the drawer back in the refrigerator, plug it into the wall outlet, and test the configuration.
