WPW10359272 Whirlpool Drum Support Roller Shaft
The Dryer Drum Roller Axle allows the appliance’s roller to maintain quiet and constant spinning during the drying cycle. If your dryer is noisy while operating, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This is a rear left-hand thread shaft that measures approx. 2-1/2" L. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dryer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dryer or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. DIY: Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10359272 Shaft
1. Shut off power to the appliance. Unplug the power cord or turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the appliance.
2. Disconnect wires and hoses connected to the appliance. Refer to your owner's manual to ensure you disconnect all necessary lines connected to the appliance.
3. Open the appliance. Refer to your user’s manual for instructions on how to open the appliance.
4. Remove the existing shaft. The existing shaft is usually held in place with screws, so you will need to remove them first.
5. Install the new Whirlpool WPW10359272 shaft. Use the screws that you removed from the old shaft and use them to affix the new shaft in place.
