WP694089 Whirlpool Dryer Blower Wheel
This Front Load Dryer Wheel attaches to the drive motor shaft and blows air through the drum and out through the exhaust vent. If the fan is no longer circulating the air in the appliance, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This wheel is compatible with select 29"W models with the lint filter on top. To remove the blower wheel, unscrew it clockwise off the motor shaft. When accessing the old Dryer Wheel, check the felt seals after removing the air duct and replace if necessary. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.

Step 1: Turn Off the Power
Before beginning any repair work, turn off the power source to the Whirlpool blower wheel. This can be done by unplugging the unit or turning off the main circuit breaker.
Step 2: Remove the Blower Motor and Wheel
Locate the screws that hold the motor in place. Unscrew them with a Phillips head screwdriver, then remove the motor to gain access to the blower wheel. Once exposed, unscrew the bolts that attach the wheel to the motor and carefully remove it.
Step 3: Install the New Wheel
Compare the new wheel to the old one to ensure they are identical. If not, return the incorrect part and obtain the correct replacement. Now place the new wheel onto the motor and reattach the bolts. Make sure the wheel is secure and tightened properly.
Step 4: Reinstall the Motor
Place the motor back into the unit and reinstall the screws holding it in place.
Step 5: Test the New Wheel
Once the motor is secured in place, turn the power back on and test the new blower wheel. Ensure that the motor is running properly and that there is no abnormal noise coming from the motor.
