WP2313637 Whirlpool Cutting Grid Assembly
This Refrigerator Ice Cutter Grid Complete Assembly is located within the main unit of the ice maker, and contains thin, heated wires that slice the ice into cubes that are then deposited in the ice bin. If the cutter grid is broken, ice can back up within the ice maker. This part is sold as a complete assembly and is used with freestanding ice makers. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. 1. Begin the DIY Whirlpool WP2313637 GRID-CUTTR housing replacement process by first disconnecting the power from the range.
2. Remove the back panel and locate the GRID-CUTTR housing inside.
3. Unscrew the screws that are securing the GRID-CUTTR housing in place.
4. Carefully remove the old GRID-CUTTR housing once the screws are removed.
5. Take note of the wiring colors and locations of the wires connecting to the electrical terminals.
6. Connect the new GRID-CUTTR housing using the same wiring colors and locations as the old housing.
7. Securely screw in the GRID-CUTTR housing with the same screws that were previously used.
8. Replace the back panel after completing the installation.
9. Restore power to the range and test the new GRID-CUTTR housing.
