DIY Instructions for Replacing the 218396700 Frigidaire Door Handle Mounting Block
Step 1: Unscrew handle to remove. Use a flat-head or Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the handle.
Remove the screws. Be sure to store them in a safe place so they don't get lost.
Step 2: Remove old mounting block. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the springs between the door and the mounting block, then lever the mounting block away from the door and pull it out.
Step 3: Install new mounting block. Slide the new mounting block up into the springs, making sure that it is lined up with the holes in the door.
