WP9759243 Whirlpool Thermostat
This Range Safety Thermal Fuse is designed for use with double ovens and is the thermal fuse for the upper oven. If the oven is working as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. The fuse is located at the back of the oven. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.

DIY: Replacing the Whirlpool WP9759243 THRMST-FIXT
Tools Needed
-Screwdriver
-Pliers
-Replacement thermostat
Step 1: Before beginning, disconnect the power to the appliance to avoid shock or injury.
Step 2: Remove the rear panel of the unit by unscrewing the screws with a screwdriver and set it aside.
Step 3: Locate the faulty thermostat and remove it from its mounting bracket by loosening the screws with a screwdriver.
Step 4: Disconnect the wires from the faulty thermostat and discard it.
Step 5: Take the replacement thermostat and connect the wires in the same order that they were connected to the old thermostat.
Step 6: Secure the new thermostat to the mounting bracket using the screws and tighten them with pliers.
Step 7: Re-attach the rear panel of the unit and secure the screws.
Step 8: Reconnect power to the appliance and test it to make sure the new thermostat is working properly.
