Replacing the WB24T10147 GE Stove Range Oven Light Switch SPDT
1. Before starting, make sure that your power is completely disconnected to the stove range oven so that you don’t suffer any electrical shocks.
2. Unscrew the screws that are holding the back plate of the stove. You may have to use a Phillips head screwdriver for this step.
3. Remove the back plate by carefully pulling it away from the wall.
4. Disconnect the wires from the previous light switch and remove it from the wiring box.
5. Slide the new light switch into the wiring box and reconnect the wires as they were with the previous switch using a wire stripper or needle nose pliers.
6. Secure the new light switch in place with the screws provided with the package.
7. Test your new switch by turning the power back on to the range and checking the light.
8. Finally, reattach the back plate of the range and check the new switch one last time before replacing all the screws.
