8193918 Whirlpool Accumulator
Part #: WPL 8193918
The Dishwasher Filter Assembly cleans the water as it passes through during your dishwasher's wash and rinse cycles. To access the part, pull out the upper and lower dish racks and remove the lower spray arm by securing it with pliers and turning it counter clockwise. Pull out the lower spray arm hub. You can then remove the screws from the old filter assembly and remove it. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10282479) to help remove limescale and mineral build-up that can be unsightly and affect your dishwasher’s performance. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
