These Gas Range Burner Grate Pads attach to the bottom of the burner grate to prevent the cooktop from becoming scratched. This set includes (5) rubber pads; purchase one set for each burner grate. Note that you will need to wait until the burner is cool to replace this part. Installing this part will require no tools, disassembly of the appliance or repair experience. DIY Steps to Replace 814323 Whirlpool Range Burner Grate Foot Pads:
1. Unplug the Whirlpool range from the power source.
2. Open the oven door and locate the five grates. Each grate will have three feet, which are the little round pads that keep the grates from scratching the surface of the burner.
3. Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the old foot pads from the grates. Hold onto the end of the screwdriver with one hand, and use the other to pull up on the pads.
4. Replace the old foot pads with the new ones. The 5 PK of 814323 Whirlpool Range Burner Grate Foot Pads should fit perfectly in each of the locations.
5. Place the grates back on the burners, ensuring that all of the pads are firmly and securely in place.
