Replacing the 240597203 Frigidaire Refrigerator Temperature Sensor
Tools Needed:
-Phillips screwdriver
-Flathead screwdriver
-New replacement 240597203 temperature sensor
Step 1: Unplug the fridge from the wall, move it away from the wall and turn off the water supply, if applicable.
Step 2: Remove the back panel of the fridge by unscrewing the screws that are holding it in place with a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 3: Locate the old temperature sensor. It is located in the back near the evaporator coil.
Step 4: Disconnect the wires connecting the sensor to the main control board by carefully removing the wiring clip.
Step 5: Use a flathead screwdriver to remove the old sensor and replace it with the new one. Secure the new sensor in place with the mounting screw.
Step 6: Reconnect the wiring clip to the new sensor and secure it in place.
Step 7: Replace the back panel of the fridge and screw in the mounting screws.
Step 8: Plug the fridge back in and turn on the water supply, if applicable.
Your Frigidaire refrigerator is now equipped with a working new 240597203 temperature sensor!
