How to Replace the Whirlpool WPW10195037 LEVER
Replacing the Whirlpool WPW10195037 LEVER requires basic knowledge of tools and a few minutes of your time. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to successfully replace your Whirlpool lever.
1. Disconnect power to the appliance. Unplug the power to the appliance or shut off the power at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the screws that are holding the control panel in place. Use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the screws and set them aside.
3. Lift the top of the control panel up and lean it back, this will expose the parts beneath.
4. Locate the WPW10195037 lever, it should be located on the left side of the panel.
5. Disconnect the wiring from the lever by carefully unplugging it from the terminal block.
6. Remove the screws that are holding the lever in place. These screws can be removed with a Philips head screwdriver.
7. Carefully remove the old lever and replace it with the new one.
8. Reconnect the wiring to the lever and replace the screws.
9. Put the control panel back into place and securely tighten the screws.
10. Reconnect the power to the appliance and you’re done!
