Replacing the Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve (Part Number: W10822681)
Instructions:
1. Unplug your refrigerator from the power source.
2. Locate the water inlet valve. The valve is typically located at the lower rear of the refrigerator, within the bottom toe-kick panel. If the valve is difficult to access, you may need to remove the panel for easy access.
3. Notice the water line connected to the valve. Disconnect the water line by turning the nut counterclockwise.
4. Unscrew and remove the screws that secure the old water inlet valve to the fridge frame. Pull away the valve, ensuring not to cause any damage to the surrounding parts or wires.
5. Install the new water inlet valve by screwing the new valve into the refrigerator frame. Tighten the screws until the valve is secure.
6. Reconnect the new inlet valve to the water line. Simply twist the nut in a clockwise direction until it is firmly in place.
7. Switch on the power source to your refrigerator, and check the operation. If you hear water flowing within the refrigerator, you have successfully replaced the water inlet valve.
Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
