WPW10131172 Whirlpool Belt

The Dryer Drum Belt wraps around the motor and pulley. If your dryer’s motor is running but the drum isn’t turning, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To access the belt, first lift up the lint screen cover and remove the two screws. If you have the type of lint screen that has the cover built in, just pull it out and then remove the screws. Next, take a putty knife around the edge of the top of your dryer and find the release clips – press these in to release the top of the dryer so you can swing it open. The front panel also needs to be removed to replace the belt. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part.
