Replacing the Frigidaire 297414901 Evaporator Fan Motor for DIY
1. Turn off the refrigerator. Unplug the appliance from the wall to prevent any electric shock.
2. Open the lower back access panel to locate the evaporator fan motor. Place a towel or newspaper beneath the motor as some condensation may occur during the repair.
3. Disconnect the two electrical wires. Take a digital picture to ensure proper reattachment.
4. Remove the screws holding the motor in place.
5. Remove the old fan motor and replace it with the new Frigidaire 297414901 Evaporator Fan Motor.
6. Reattach the electrical wires in the same pattern as before and secure the motor into its place with the screws.
7. Close the access panel and plug the refrigerator back in.
8. Turn the refrigerator back on to ensure the new motor works properly.
