Replacing the CLIP, SPRING and SCREW for an Air Conditioner
Step 1: Shut off the power to the air conditioner before making any repairs. This can be done by unplugging the unit from the wall or turning off the circuit breaker in the home’s breaker box.
Step 2: Remove the outer cover of the air conditioner. This can be done by unscrewing any screws or bolts on the sides of the unit or lifting the cover off depending on the model of air conditioner.
Step 3: Locate the CLIP, SPRING and SCREW you will be replacing. Make sure you have the correct replacement parts before beginning.
Step 4: Remove the old CLIP by prying it away from its housing with a flathead screwdriver or other appropriate tool.
Step 5: Pull the OLD SPRING out of its casing and dispose of it.
Step 6: Insert the NEW SPRING into the housing and make sure it is secure.
Step 7: Using a Phillips head screwdriver, unscrew the old SCREW from its housing.
Step 8: Carefully insert the new SCREW into the same hole, making sure it is tight and secure.
Step 9: Place the new CLIP into the housing, making sure it fits snugly.
Step 10: Reattach the outer cover of the air conditioner and check for proper functioning.
By following these instructions, you should be able to easily replace the CLIP, SPRINGS, and SCREW of your air conditioner. As always, please ensure you have taken all safety precautions prior to beginning any work.
