This Bottom Freezer Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly receives water from the home's water inlet valve and then holds the water inside the device until the water is frozen solid. It then ejects the ice and refills again until the ice bucket is full. This kit includes (1) ice cube mold with control device. Replacing the W10884390 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Tools & Materials Needed:
-Screwdriver
-Vise grips
-Replacement W10884390 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly

Instructions:

1. Unplug the refrigerator and shut off the water supply line that runs to the ice maker.

2. Locate the screw near the top of the refrigerator wall that secures the ice maker assembly. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw.

3. With vise grips, carefully pull on the ice maker assembly from the wall.

4. Remove any plastic plugs covering the two wires connected to the assembly. Disconnect both wires from the ice maker assembly.

5. Place the new replacement W10884390 Whirlpool Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly into the wall. Secure the assembly with the screw removed in step 2.

6. Plug the two wires back into the new ice maker assembly and cover the connections with the plastic plugs.

7. Turn on the water supply line and plug the refrigerator back in.

8. If the ice maker begins making noise, it is working properly.
