Instructions for Replacing the Frigidaire Dryer Drum Felt Seal and Glide Kit
1. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet or turn off the circuit breaker supplying power to the dryer.
2. Pull the dryer away from the wall and then remove both the lint filter and the lint exhaust duct.
3. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that secure the top panel of the dryer and then lift the panel up and away from the dryer.
4. Disconnect the wires from the switch or timer on the control panel.
5. Remove the screws that secure the front panel to the top and bottom panels of the dryer and then lift the front panel away.
6. Take note of the complete configuration of the existing felt seal and glide kit so that it can be easily replaced.
7. Carefully remove the old felt seal and glide kit, using needle-nose pliers if necessary.
8. Take the new felt seal and glide kit and align it with the configuration of the old one.
9. Secure the felt seal and glide kit in place with screws.
10. Reconnect the wiring on the control panel, replace the top and front panels, the lint filter and the lint exhaust duct.
11. Push the dryer back against the wall and plug it in or turn the circuit breaker back on.
12. Test your work by placing a few items in the dryer and running it on a full cycle.
