WP4162324 Whirlpool Case Gasket
The Stand Mixer Transmission Case Gasket is located in between the two halves of the cases and prevents grease from leaking from the gear housing during operation. If the existing part is torn or damaged and you notice grease leaking from the mixer, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Installing this part will require basic tools, disassembly of the stand mixer and some repair experience. Step 1: Shut off the power supply to the Whirlpool washer before proceeding with the repair.
Step 2: Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and turn off the water supply to the washer.
Step 3: Pull out the washer from its location and place it on a flat surface.
Step 4: Locate the WP4162324 Whirlpool case gasket located between the outer tub and the inner tub.
Step 5: Gently pull out the old gasket from the washer.
Step 6: Clean the area around the old gasket to ensure there is no dirt or debris left behind before installing the new gasket.
Step 7: Place the new WP4162324 Whirlpool case gasket into the washer and make sure it is sitting evenly.
Step 8: Put the washer back into its original place.
Step 9: Plug the power cord into the wall outlet, and turn on the water supply.
Step 10: Turn on the power supply and run an empty load to test the new gasket.
