882657 Whirlpool Compactor Foot Pedal
This Trash Compactor Foot Pedal Kit mounts on the footplate on the bottom front of the container and opens the container drawer when you step on it. This kit includes the two screws needed for installation. This foot pedal is black in color. Installing this part will require basic hand tools, some some disassembly of the compactor and novice repair experience. You must unplug the compactor or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part.
