DIY Instructions on Replacing the 39837 Speed Queen Washer Balance Ring White - Home Assembly

1. Unplug the power cord of your washer from the wall and turn off the water supply to the machine.

2. Move the washer away from the wall and lay it on its back.

3. Remove the screws that hold the outer washer case in place.

4. Remove the outer case by lifting it up and away from the internal components of the washer.

5. Carefully inspect the internal components of the machine, including the balance ring.

6. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the balance ring in place.

7. Pull the old balance ring out of the machine and set aside.

8. Insert the new balance ring into the machine, making sure to line up the screw holes with the openings in the body of the washer.

9. Secure the new balance ring in place with screws.

10. Re-assemble the outer case of the washer and secure it with screws.

11. Plug in the power cord and reconnect the water supply to the washer.

12. Turn on the water supply and stand the washer upright.

13. Test the new balance ring by running a cycle and make sure the machine is balanced and running correctly.
