How To Replace Your GE MWFP Water Filter

1. Locate the GE MWFP filter housing. It is typically located underneath the kitchen sink and should be labeled "GE MWFP filter" or have a small logo of General Electric (GE).

2. Turn off the water supply to the filter. Two valves will be connected to the filter housing that needs to be shut off. One lever will usually be marked "In," and the other will be marked "Out."

3. Turn on the faucet connected to the filter to allow the pressure to drain from the lines.

4. Disconnect the water line from the filter housing. This can be done with a pair of pliers.

5. Remove the filter cover and replace the filter cartridge. Make sure that the new filter cartridge is firmly in place before closing the cover.

6. Reconnect the water line to the filter housing and turn the water back on.

7. Check for any leaks around the filter housing and tighten any connections if necessary.

8. Reset the filter light on the refrigerator (if applicable) and enjoy your new filtered water.
