The following parts are replaced by this product

  1. W10628712
1. Unplug your Whirlpool W11175807 washing machine from the power source before beginning replacement.

2. Examine the electrical components and locate the screws that hold the top panel in place. Remove these screws from the top of the washing machine with a Phillips head screwdriver.

3. Take off the top panel and set it aside. It is possible to change the axle without taking off the back cover, but it is recommended for easier access. To do this, unscrew the screws which are found near the bottom edge of the Whirlpool W11175807.

4. Locate the motor mounting bracket and remove its two screws. These will be positioned at the bottom of the washer near the water level switch.

5. Disconnect the wiring harness from the motor mounting bracket. This is done by pressing the small plastic tab down and pulling the wiring harness out.

6. Now you can remove the motor bracket and its attached components. Pull the entire assembly out of the washer.

7. Unscrew the axle nut from the rear of the motor. Be careful not to lose the two washers that may be between the axle and the motor.

8. Pull the axle out of the old motor and replace it with the new one. Make sure that the new axle slots easily into the motor and that the axle nut fits securely.

9. Reattach the wiring harness to the motor bracket.

10. Replace the motor bracket and its two screws.

11. Plug the washer back in and turn on to check the axis has been replaced properly.

12. Put the top panel back in place, secure the screws and the job is done.

Please keep in mind, these instructions are for general guidance and should always be used in conjunction with the manufacturer's manual, if available.
