Replacing the Whirlpool W10873801 START-DEV Part
1. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher. Pull out the unit and remove the toe kick panel by unscrewing the screws.
2. Remove the 2 screws that are securing the control panel, then pull the panel away from the dishwasher.
3. Unscrew the black plastic retainer that is securing the START-DEV part.
4. Disconnect the wires that are connected to the START-DEV part and remove it.
5. Insert the new START-DEV part in the opening and connect the wires.
6. Secure the black plastic retainer over the START-DEV part.
7. Reattach the control panel to the dishwasher and secure with the 2 screws.
8. Replace the toe kick panel and screw it in place.
9. Turn on the power to the dishwasher and test the unit to make sure the replacement part is working correctly.
