Step 1: Unplug the power cord of your Whirlpool W10210871 from the wall socket.
Step 2: Open the dishwasher door and locate the lamp housing on the left side of the dishwasher.
Step 3: Remove the screws that secure the lamp housing to the dishwasher.
Step 4: Carefully remove the lamp housing from the dishwasher and set aside.
Step 5: Disconnect the electrical wiring connected to the lamp housing. Make sure all loose wires have been disconnected.
Step 6: Place the new lamp housing into the space where the old lamp was removed.
Step 7: Secure the new lamp housing with the same screws you removed in Step 3.
Step 8: Connect the electrical wiring to the new lamp housing.
Step 9: Close the dishwasher door and plug the power cord back into the wall socket.
Step 10: Test the new lamp housing to make sure it is working properly.
