WPW10327249 Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Inlet Fill Valve
This Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve allows the appliance to fill with water and complete the cleaning cycle. If your dishwasher won't fill properly or leaks, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Recommended Item: While the dishwasher is disassembled, consider replacing the Water Supply Adapter (item W10685193). Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the dishwasher and novice repair experience. You must unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also be sure to turn off the water supply to your dishwasher before you begin. DIY Step-By-Step Guide to Replacing a WPW10327249 Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Inlet Fill Valve
1. Unplug your dishwasher from its power source.
2. Remove the bottom front kick plate by pulling outwards on the two clips at either side of the bottom panel.
3. Locate the water inlet valve on the right-hand side of the dishwasher interior.
4. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher at the shutoff valve located behind the machine.
5. Disconnect the two 3/8†water lines from the inlet valve.
6. Unscrew the water inlet valve mounting screws.
7. Carefully pull the old inlet valve away from the dishwasher.
8. Insert the new WPW10327249 Whirlpool Dishwasher Water Inlet Fill Valve into the dishwasher, making sure it is securely positioned with the mounting screws.
9. Reconnect the hoses to the new inlet valve.
10. Turn the water supply back on and plug the dishwasher back into the power source.
11. Test the dishwasher with a cycle to make sure the water inlet valve is functioning correctly.
12. Replace the bottom kick plate and you're done!
