WP61005254 Whirlpool Refrigerator Thermostat
This Top Freezer Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat is a safety device that clips onto the evaporator in the freezer and turns off the defrost heater in case it gets too warm in the freezer section. If your refrigerator does not defrost, both the thermostat and heater can be tested to determine which part is at fault.
