Replacing the 489P3 Speed Queen High Limit Thermostat
1. Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the back panels that cover the thermostat and the wiring.
3. Unscrew the wires connecting the old thermostat to the appliance.
4. Remove the old thermostat and keep it aside.
5. Place the new 489P3 Speed Queen High Limit Thermostat in the same spot where the old one was located.
6. Connect the new thermostat to the appliance’s wires by following the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Secure the panels back onto the appliance.
8. Plug the appliance back into the electrical outlet.
9. Run a complete cycle of the appliance to make sure the replacement thermostat has been installed successfully.
