WP74009958 Whirlpool Spark Electrode Assembly

1. Gather your supplies: new Whirlpool WP74009958 IGNTR-SURF, screwdriver, needle nose pliers, and a flashlight.

2. Turn off the power to your dryer by unplugging it or turning the circuit breaker off.

3. Locate the old Whirlpool WP74009958 IGNTR-SURF. It is located in the top of the dryer in the back near the lint trap.

4. Use the screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the old IGNTR-SURF in place.

5. Disconnect the two igniter wires that are connected to the old igniter.

6. Use the needle nose pliers to help loosen the connections if needed.

7. Remove the old igniter and insert the new one.

8. Reconnect the two igniter wires to the new igniter.

9. Replace the screws that hold the igniter in place.

10. Turn on the power to the dryer and test to ensure the new igniter is working properly.

11. You have successfully replaced the Whirlpool WP74009958 IGNTR-SURF.
