285751 Whirlpool Washer Agitator Cam & 4 Dogs Kit
This Top Load Washer Agitator Cam Repair Kit should be used if the upper section of the agitator isn't turning properly. This repair kit includes (4) directional cogs (or dog ears) and (1) cam. Pre-assemble the repair kit before installing in the agitator. Make sure you install the dog ears with the curve of the cam. We recommend using a small amount of grease (item 350849) with this kit if no grease is present on the old thrust washer. Replacing this part will require basic tools, some disassembly of the washing machine and novice repair experience. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner* (item W10501250) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.

1. Begin by switching off the power supply to the washer and unplugging it from the wall socket.
2. Remove the washer agitator cap by lifting it straight up.
3. Carefully lift out the old agitator assembly with 4-Dogs, taking care not to snap any of the dogs off the plastic assembly.
4. Install the new 285751 Whirlpool Washer Agitator Cam & 4 Dogs Kit by guiding the dogs into place and fitting the cam into the slot on the agitator’s plastic housing. Ensure that the dogs fit snugly into their grooves.
5. Lower the plastic assembly into the washer, ensuring that it is securely in place. Lifting the top of the assembly slightly as you lower it into the washer may help.
6. Replace the washer agitator cap, pressing down firmly to ensure it is secure.
7. Plug the power supply back into the wall socket and switch the power back on. Your 285751 Whirlpool Washer Agitator Cam & 4 Dogs Kit should now be installed and ready to use.
