Replacing a faulty sensor in your Whirlpool refrigerator can seem like an intimidating task. However, with the right tools and using this DIY guide, you can easily replace the Whirlpool WPW10247389 sensor in no time at all.
Tools and Materials Needed:
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Socket wrench
• Replacement Whirlpool WPW10247389 sensor
Instructions:
1. Unplug the refrigerator and locate the faulty sensor. It is usually located behind the control panel on the back side of the refrigerator.
2. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the panel in place.
3. Carefully pull the panel away from the wall and disconnect the electrical wiring from the back of the control panel.
4. Use a socket wrench to remove the sensor from its mount.
5. Insert the new sensor into the mount and secure it with the socket wrench.
6. Re-attach the wiring to the control panel and then carefully place the panel back in place.
7. Secure the panel with the screws removed earlier.
8. Plug the refrigerator back in and turn the power on.
