DIY Guide to Replacing a Whirlpool W10846539 FAN MOTOR

Replacing the fan motor in your Whirlpool W10846539 rangehood can be a complex task. However, with the right knowledge and tools, you can do it yourself in just a few steps. Follow this guide to learn how to replace your Whirlpool W10846539 fan motor with ease.

Tools You'll Need:

• Phillips screwdriver

• T20 Torx screwdriver

• Flashlight

• Adjustable wrench

• Pliers

Steps to Replacing Your Whirlpool W10846539 Fan Motor:

1. Unplug the power cord that connects your rangehood to the wall outlet. This will prevent any accidents or electrocution while you’re working.

2. Remove the rangehood's ventilation chamber. To do this, use a Phillips head screwdriver to unscrew the screws on the side of the chamber. Pull out the chamber after the screws have been removed.

3. Locate the fan motor. It should be located somewhere underneath the ventilation chamber. Once you have located it, use the adjustable wrench to loosen the fan motor’s connection to the hood.

4. Unscrew the screws that hold the fan motor in place using the T20 Torx screwdriver. Use a flashlight to help you see the screws if necessary.

5. Remove the fan motor from the rangehood and discard it.

6. Place the new fan motor in the rangehood. Secure it with the screws and tighten them firmly.

7. Reconnect the fan motor to the rangehood.

8. Replace the ventilation chamber by putting it back in place and screwing in the screws.

Now you have successfully replaced your Whirlpool W10846539 fan motor. After double checking that all of your connections are tight, plug your rangehood back into the wall outlet to power it on. Enjoy your newly working rangehood!
