This Over-The-Range Microwave Grease Filter traps grease from the exhaust air of your oven to prevent it from entering the blower and vent, potentially causing build-up and damage. If your current filter can no longer be cleaned and is not functioning properly, replacing this accessory may alleviate the issue. Includes (2) filters measuring approx. 12" L x 6" W each. Installing this accessory will require no disassembly or repair experience. You must unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing.

Step 1: Gather the Tools and Parts Needed
In order to replace the 6800 Whirlpool Chacoal Filter Kit 2PK, you will need:
•Phillips screwdriver
•Masking tape
•New 6800 Whirlpool Chacoal Filter Kit 2PK
Step 2: Shut Off Power Supply
Shut off the power supply to your refrigerator by disconnecting the power cord from the outlet.
Step 3: Remove Filter Cover
Remove the filter cover located inside the refrigerator by unscrewing the two screws that are holding it in place with a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 4: Uninstall Existing Filter
Pull out the existing filter, taking care not to damage any of the other components in the area.
Step 5: Install New Filter
Take the new 6800 Whirlpool Chacoal Filter Kit 2PK and install it into the same position, then reattach the filter cover using the two screws.
Step 6: Replace Power Supply
Reconnect power by plugging the power cord back into the outlet.
Step 7: Test & Enjoy
Test the filter by running some water through it. Make sure the water is coming through the filter as expected. Once complete, enjoy the clean, refreshing water from your new filter!
