12002213 Whirlpool Washer Pulley and Thrust Bearing Kit
This Top Load Washer Thrust Bearing Kit agitates the washer during use and drains the drum. If there is a loud noise during the wash cycle, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. This kit includes the (1) pulley, (1) washer, (1) thrust bearing, (2) upper race washers, (1) lower race washer, and the instruction sheet. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. 1. Start by turning off the power to your Whirlpool washer. Unplug the washer from the wall or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
2. Before disassembling the pulley and thrust bearing, you will need to remove the top panel of the washer by taking off its screws.
3. Once the top panel has been removed, locate the pulley and thrust bearing kit. With an adjustable wrench, start loosening the pulley bolt until it is completely detached from the washer.
4. Take out the old pulley and thrust bearing kit and prepare the new part for installation.
5. Place the new pulley and thrust bearing kit into the washing machine, aligning it with the washer shaft and securing it into place with the pulley bolt. Tighten the bolt with the wrench to ensure that it is firmly secured.
6. Reinstall the top panel by carefully screwing it back into position.
7. Reconnect the power source to the washer, either by plugging it into the wall or activating the circuit breaker in the fuse box.
8. Test the washer to make sure that the pulley and thrust bearing kit has been installed properly.
