The following parts are replaced by this product

1. Unplug the GE dishwasher and shut off the water supply.
2. Remove the lower dishrack and the center support bracket from the dishwasher tub.
3. Disconnect the upper and lower fill hoses from the water inlet valve.
4. Remove the screws that secure the water inlet valve to the dishwasher tub.
5. Carefully pull the water inlet valve away from the dishwasher tub.
6. Remove the old shaft seal, then replace it with the new WD8X181 seal.
7. Place the water inlet valve back onto the dishwasher tub and secure it with the screws.
8. Reconnect the upper and lower fill hoses to the water inlet valve.
9. Place the center support bracket and lower dishrack back in the dishwasher tub.
10. Turn on the water supply and plug the dishwasher back in.
