W10721967 Whirlpool Washer Cam Kit
The Top Load Washer Splutch Cam Kit contains the parts needed to properly spin the inner basket of the appliance during the washing cycle. This assembly attaches at the bottom of the washer and includes (1) spring, (1) housing, (1) cam ring, (1) basket drive gear, (1) pulley and (1) nut. If your experiencing issues with the wash and spin cycles of your appliance or it's making a lot of noise, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tips: While the washer is disassembled, consider replacing the drive belt (item WPW10006384) as well. How to Replace a W10721967 Whirlpool Cam Kit
1. Start by unplugging the power cord and water supply lines connected to the dishwasher.
2. Remove any screws or bolts holding the dishwasher in place.
3. Carefully pull the dishwasher away from the wall and slide it out far enough to access the back panel.
4. Remove the screws or clips that are securing the back panel in place and then take off the panel.
5. Locate the W10721967 cam kit and unscrew the mounting screws that hold it in place. Then carefully remove it from the dishwasher.
6. Insert the new cam kit into the dishwasher at the same location where the old one was located.
7. Secure the new cam kit using the mounting screws.
8. Carefully replace the back panel and secure it with screws or clips.
9. Push the dishwasher back into place and secure it with screws or bolts.
10. Reconnect the power cord and water supply lines to the dishwasher.
11. After reconnecting the power and water lines, turn on the dishwasher to test the new cam kit.
