W10528947 Whirlpool Washer Drive Hub Kit
The Top Load Washer Basket Drive Hub connects the spin basket to the spin shaft that spins the basket. If your washing machine isn't spinning as expected, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. To access the part, you'll first need to remove the agitator or the impeller depending on your washer model. Then remove the screws holding in the old drive hub and the driver hub. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the washer and novice repair experience. You must unplug the washing machine or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Step 1: Unplug the Washer from the power source.
Step 2: Turn off the water supply to the washer by shutting off the valves located behind the washer.
Step 3: Empty out any remaining water in the washer drum by tipping the washer on its side and draining out any residual water. Afterwards, return the washer to its upright position.
Step 4: Remove the front panel of the washer by taking out the screws located in the back of the machine and around the edges of the front panel.
Step 5: Use a screwdriver to remove the old W10528947 washer drive hub kit by unscrewing the four screws holding it in place.
Step 6: Carefully take out the old washer drive hub kit and replace it with the new one.
Step 7: Reattach the new drive hub kit using the same screws that were removed and secure it in place by tightening them properly.
Step 8: Put back the removed front panel onto the washer and secure it using the screws that were taken out earlier.
Step 9: Plug the washer back into the power source and open the water supply valves located behind the machine.
Step 10: Test the new washer drive hub kit by running a cycle on your washer.
