Replacing the 137221600 Frigidaire Washer Drain Pump
#1 Unplug the washer: Make sure to unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet before beginning any repairs.
#2 Disconnect the hoses: Locate the water inlet and drain hoses connecting to the washer. Disconnect the hoses from both the washer and the wall.
#3 Remove the access panel: Depending on your model, the access panel may be located on the back of the washer or the side. Carefully remove the panel to expose the inside of the washer.
#4 Remove the old pump: Locate the drain pump and disconnect the electrical wires connected to it. Use a pair of pliers to remove the mounting bolts and pull the old pump away from the washer.
#5 Install the new pump: Place the new pump into the designated area and secure it with the mounting bolts. Reconnect the electrical wires to the new pump and make sure they are fastened securely.
#6 Reinstall the access panel: Place the access panel back onto the washer and make sure all screws are securely fastened.
#7 Reattach the hoses: Connect the water inlet and drain hoses to the washer and tighten them with pliers.
