Replacing the GE WD2X295 Screw
1. Unplug the power cord of the GE appliance from the wall outlet and shut off the water supply to the unit.
2. Gather the necessary tools including a Phillips-head screwdriver, needle nose pliers, and screwdriver set.
3. Locate and remove the plastic or metal cover plate that covers the screw holes and screws on the appliance.
4. Remove the existing screws using a screwdriver or pliers and discard them.
5. Use a ruler to measure the distance between the screw holes and find the appropriate screws size needed to replace the GE WD2X295 screw.
6. Purchase the exact size screws at a local hardware store to replace the existing ones.
7. Insert the new screws through the screw holes and tighten them with a screwdriver.
8. Replace the cover plate and secure it with the screws.
9. Reconnect the power plug into the wall outlet and turn on the water supply to the appliance.
