WPW10341329 Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Valve Assembly
The French Door Refrigerator Water Inlet Valve allows water to enter the refrigerator’s water dispenser and ice maker. If the icemaker of your appliance has stopped making ice, no water flows from the dispenser or it flows constantly, or if you notice water at the bottom of the fresh food compartment, replacing this part may alleviate these issues. The package includes (1) secondary dual water valve. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the refrigerator and novice repair experience. You must unplug the refrigerator or shut off the house circuit breaker for the appliance before installing this part. Also turn off the refrigerator's water supply before you begin. Helpful Tip: We do not recommend disassembling your appliance’s current water inlet valve to clean it due to the risk of failure after the repair.

1. Begin by shutting off the power to your water heater by turning off the breaker.
2. Turn off the gas line and set the thermostat on your water heater to the lowest temperature.
3. Disconnect the water lines from the old Whirlpool WPW10341329 VALVE WATER.
4. Use a wrench to loosen the mounting nuts and screws that are holding the valve in place.
5. Carefully pull out the old valve and discard it.
6. Make sure to check the water line fittings for any debris or dirt before installing the new valve.
7. Install the new Whirlpool WPW10341329 VALVE WATER. Make sure the fitting is completely secure.
8. Connect the water lines and turn on the power and gas to the water heater.
9. Adjust the temperature setting on your water heater as necessary.
10. Test the valve by opening the faucets in your home. If you have any issues with the installation, call a qualified plumber.
