Replacing the GE WE4M415 Door Switch
1. Disconnect the power to your appliance by unplugging it or turning off the breaker that supplies power to the appliance.
2. Remove the screws securing the top panel of the appliance. Lift the top panel away from the appliance and set aside.
3. Locate the GE WE4M415 door switch, which is typically found near the top of the door frame.
4. Disconnect the two wires connected to the door switch by grasping each wire and pulling it away from the terminal.
5. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws securing the switch to the frame of the appliance.
6. Take the new GE WE4M415 door switch and insert the two wires into the terminals on the new switch. Make sure the connections are tight.
7. Secure the new switch to the frame of the appliance using the screws from the old switch.
8. Replace the top panel of the appliance and secure with the screws.
9. Reconnect the power to the appliance.
10. Test the new switch by closing and opening the door of the appliance.
