How to Replace the WE4M137 GE High Limit Thermostat
1. Shut off power to your furnace at the main service panel.
2. Locate the old thermostat and remove it from the wall. Note where the wall wires were attached to the old thermostat.
3. For the WE4M137, connect the red wire to the RH terminal, the white wire to the W terminal, the yellow wire to the Y terminal, the green wire to the G terminal, and the blue wire to the C terminal.
4. Secure the new thermostat in the wall and replace the cover.
5. Turn the power back on to the furnace at the main service panel.
6. Set the fan switch to AUTO and the heat/cool selector to HEAT.
7. Set the desired temperature and test the unit.
Your GE WE4M137 high limit thermostat is now installed and ready to use. If you ever need to adjust or replace the thermostat again, be sure to follow all safety precautions and shut off power to the unit before beginning any work.
