How to Replace a WD12X26146 GE Dishwasher Lower Rack Roller

Replacing the lower rack roller on a GE dishwasher requires the use of hand tools, so it is a job that most homeowners can complete on their own. Here is an easy step-by-step guide to help you replace the WD12X26146 GE dishwasher lower rack roller:

1. Unplug the dishwasher - Before you begin, make sure to disconnect the power to the dishwasher by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker.

2. Remove the existing lower rack roller - To access the lower rack roller, you will need to remove the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Unscrew the screws on either side of the rack to remove it. The roller will then be exposed. Carefully remove the roller and set it aside.

3. Insert the new roller - Take the replacement roller and insert it into its slot in the dishwasher. Make sure the roller is lined up properly before continuing.

4. Secure the new roller - With the roller in place, secure it by tightening the screws on either side.

5. Re-install the dishwasher rack - Place the bottom dishwasher rack back in its original position, making sure to line up the holes with the guide pins on the sides of the dishwasher. Secure the rack with the screws.

6. Test the dishwasher - Once the lower rack roller has been replaced, it is time to test the dishwasher. Plug it back in and run the dishwasher to make sure the new roller is working correctly.

Congratulations! You’ve completed the project and your GE dishwasher is now up and running once again.
