WP8268743 Whirlpool Upper Dishrack Wheel
This Dishwasher Upper Dishrack Wheel Assembly allows the upper dishrack to easily roll in and out of the dishwasher. Your appliance requires a total of (4) wheel assemblies to function properly. If the wheels are damaged on one or more of your dishwasher’s upper wheel assemblies, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. Replacing this part will require no disassembly or repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Dishwasher Cleaner (item W10282479) once a month or as needed, to help remove limescale and mineral buildup that can affect your dishwasher's performance. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.

1. Unplug the power cord from the Whirlpool washing machine before beginning to replace the WP8268743 WHEEL.
2. Carefully tilt the machine on an angle and securely prop it in place with a wooden block, or something similar.
3. Remove the lower access panel which is located at the bottom of the machine by unscrewing the two front screws.
4. Locate the drive motor and transmission components.
5. Disconnect the belt from the motor by releasing the tension lever.
6. Remove the four bolts which are fastening the wheel to the motor.
7. Carefully replace the old WP8268743 WHEEL with the new one.
8. Reassemble the motor components in order, and ensure that the belt is properly wrapped around the new wheel.
9. Tighten the four bolts and replace the lower access panel.
10. Plug the power cord back into the washing machine and turn it on. The machine should now be running as normal.
