WP8182703 Whirlpool Shock Absorber
This Front Load Washer Shock Absorber absorbs the vibrations and movements of the outer washer tub. Your washer has 4 shock absorbers – 2 in the back and 2 in the front. If your tub is shaking while in cycle, replacing this part may alleviate the issue. You'll remove the hose and the back panel behind the machine to access this part. Turn the old shock absorber 90 degrees on the top and bottom to release it from the appliance. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. DIY Instructions on Replacing a Whirlpool WP8182703 Shock Absorber Assembly
Tools Needed:
• Screwdriver
• Replacement shock absorber assembly
Step 1: Unplug the refrigerator from the power source. This will help prevent any potential electrical shocks.
Step 2: Locate the shock absorber assembly for the Whirlpool WP8182703. It will be located at the back of the refrigerator unit.
Step 3: Loosen the screws that are securing the shock absorber assembly. Use the screwdriver to loosen and remove the screws.
