WP35-6465 Whirlpool Drain Pump

100% Guaranteed genuine parts logo
This Top Load Washer Drain Pump removes waste water from your top-load washer during the drain portion of the wash cycle. The pump is driven by the main drive belt that also drives the transmission pulley. If your washer doesn’t drain properly, then the pump may be clogged, damaged or defective and replacing it may alleviate these issues. Note that a defective pump may also cause a small leak to occur at the front of the washer. To access the pump, you'll need to remove the cabinet from the washer. The pump is attached to the drive motor. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools, some disassembly of the appliance and novice repair experience. You must unplug the appliance or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Also make sure you turn off the hot and cold water supplies. Helpful Tip: We also recommend using affresh® Washing Machine Cleaner Tablets* (item W10135699) once a month to help reduce odor-causing residue that can build up in your washing machine's drain without proper care. *affresh® brand products are owned and distributed by Whirlpool Corporation.
